Our OB/GYN Group, consisting of one full-time and two part-time highly trained physicians, has seen the number of deliveries increase over the past year. With the addition of new equipment and interlocking services, including genetic counseling and a maternal-fetal specialist available, we have enhanced the range of women's healthcare we are able to provide.

Our Medical/Surgical Departments deliver patient care for those requiring everything from ambulatory surgery to rehabilitation services.

E.J. Noble Hospital of Gouverneur E.J. Noble Hospital Philosophy:
As a community hospital, we do more than just provide medical care. It also provides stability and viability to the surrounding towns and their residents.

As a facility, we are aware that a positive relationship with the communities we serve is imperative. Every person that walks through our doors is to be treated with the same dignity and respect we would afford to our own family and friends.

Our Staff, who are members of the various communities we serve, are trained individuals who maintain their education through the various opportunities provided by our in-service/education department and the programs presented by others at this facility.

We work, in conjunction with family members and other services within this facility, to provide the best care possible for our patients while at the same time maintaining each patient's right to privacy and confidentiality.

Although a patient's time with us is relatively short, we hope to make their stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible under the circumstances. Every patient that stays at E.J. Noble Hospital has the opportunity to submit a patient satisfaction survey. This survey is utilized by us, as a tool to re-affirm what we are doing right and to show us where we still need improvements.

We are pleased that the residents of our surrounding communities trust us with their care and hope to continue to do so in the future.

Our Mission Statement:
E.J. Noble Hospital services an encatchment area of approximately 20,000 citizens for southern St. Lawrence, western Lewis and northern Jefferson counties that are basically the western entrance to the Adirondack mountain region. This large geographical, sparsely populated area is primarily a farming community with lead, zinc and talc mining industries.

The core values of the mission statement are based on the principle of meeting the community primary healthcare needs and the appropriate development of establishing clinical referrals when deemed necessary.

  • The clinical programs and services offered by the hospital
and related primary care clinics will be driven by and defined
by community needs that are determined by the payors of health-
care within the community and other forums such as Business/
Industry and Social/Community Service Clubs. This determination
will be matched to the hospital resources by the Board of Trustees.

  • The hospital will develop relationships through which the
community can access healthcare services not available locally.

  • The hospital will continuously strive for financial viability with
maintaining a commitment for providing charity services within
all clinical components of our system of healthcare.

  • The hospital will provide a good working environment for its team
of employees, physicians and volunteers. This will include a
smoke free campus and provision of health and wellness programs
