    Types of Problems Treated
  • All types of chronic pain such as herniated disks, cancer, arthritis, pain related to work injury or accident, nerve injury, complications from medical condition, i.e. diabetes, etc.
  • Headaches. However, it is recommended that the initial treatment is done by a neurologist, ENT, etc. to rule out treatable cause of the headaches.

    Procedures
    We treat patients using:
  • Multidisciplinary approaches-various methods, not only limited to medications, such as physical therapy, injections, i.e. nerve blocks, steroid injections, "cortisone shots," epidural steroid injections.
  • We also utilize various diagnostics testing such as MRI and nerve conduction studies, as needed.

    Referral System
We accept patients by referral from either primary care physicians or specialists, i.e. orthopedists, neurologists, etc. Usually, the patient will be referred back to their primary care physician after they are stabilized on a pain management plan.

    Swing Bed
The term "Swing Bed" was coined under a federal program in which rural hospitals with less than 100 beds are able to designate acute care beds that can be "swung" between acute care and long-term care, dependent on patient and census needs.

E.J. Noble Hospital has designated 10 beds on its medical-surgical unit for this transitional care.
